Accuracy We feel that this site is accurate because it has references, phone numbers, addresses and the sources are reliable. The site site resources were the World Health Organization and the National Cancer Institute. Since these sources are well known, we feel that this is an accurate site.

Authority The author of this site is OncoLink, which is a company that is designed for educational purposes and is located at the University of Pennsylvania Cancer Center. It offers an e-mail address, a general disclaimer and a privacy statement. These are easily found on the home page. The URL contained .edu.

Objectivity This site's main purpose is to inform the public about tobacco control in the world. Although it seems to have and underlying message that smoking is harmful and can cause cancer. We came to this conclusion based on the ad on the page, which is a treatment drug for cancer, and the information on the main menu relating to cancer.

Currency The site was copyrighted in 1994. However it was revised on April 13,2001. It seems as if they updated their information regularly. The dates are easily found on the home page.

Coverage Upon entering the site to learn about tobacco control in the media one may have other questions which can be answered based upon the valuable information on this site. We feel that you can access most anything you want relating to tobacco. However for a more detailed amount of information one may need to go to a specific site, such as the American Cancer Society.
